My dad and I were able to take a few days between video shoots to try and kill a couple of bucks for TX Fishing & Hunting TV.
We were hunting south of San Antonio near Hondo.
Full moon phase, full rut, cool mornings………..everything was in our favor.
My dad shot an awesome slick 8 point that scored and amazing 154. His spread was 17 and his G2’s were 12”!!!
I shot a really dominate main frame 9 with a split eye guard (10), he scored a 158. He had good mass, chocolate tines and was 19 ¼ wide.
Incredible hunt, I literally watched my buck for 20-30 minutes over a hot doe while he pushed every other deer around!
